About the job

A fast-growing company developing innovative depth perception technology is looking for a Senior Computer Vision Systems Engineer. The engineer will work with a team of creative technologists to create and implement end-to-end NLP and Computer Vision models. The VC-backed startup is using multi-view passive optics to help redefine how vehicles perceive the environment. The company has managed to raise close to $200mn in funding during their Series D round. This role requires 4-5+ hours overlap with the PST time zone.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop CV algorithms like camera calibration, stereo depth, and image processing, focusing on signal processing techniques
• Work collaboratively with data science and back-end engineering teams to coordinate the software development
• Communicate regularly with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and managers
• Improve the overall end-user experience for the application
• Take responsibility for the CV algorithms and implement hardware models

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
• At least 4+ years of relevant experience as a Computer Vision Systems Engineer
• Experience in signal processing techniques
• Experience in linear and non-linear optimization
• Experience in algorithm development and optimization
• Experience with algorithm complexity analysis
• Experience programming in C/C++ and Python
• Solid understanding of the impact of a complex memory hierarchy on algorithm performance
• Ability to optimize algorithms for complex targets like SIMD, DSP, GPU, custom HW
• Prior experience working with FPGA and ASIC designs is desirable
